MIQUEL PESCADOR


Draftsman, painter, architect and professor, he studied architecture in Barcelona, ​​his hometown. He is self-taught in the languages ​​of drawing and painting. His images have been selected in various international and national contests, including the Nordart International Contemporary Art Fair 2016 and the Figurative Painting Contests’15, BBVA-Ricard Camí 2015, Modportrait 2014 and Centelles 2013.

 

One of its main objectives is to invite the spectator to a silent world, far from contemporary visual saturation, so that those questions that people feel in our lives about our own lives, our emotions and our thoughts, beyond the immediacy. Their images are born of a need to return to their own body and nature to harmonize with a reality that they perceive as excessively mental, artificial and urban.  The fragment becomes his main tool of work; isolate and sing a few elements of the world so that the gaze can be used in time and allow the discovery of something valuable within the everyday.

 

 

His poetic universe focuses on color, abstraction of composition, the fluidity of pictorial matter, the interaction between forms and rhythms. Conceive the image as “skin” beyond photographic illusionism, reflecting on the latter and its importance in the formation of contemporary looking ways.
