CLÀUDIA DE VILAFAMÉS

Vilafamés, 1967

Realism painter Claudia Trilles owes part of her artistic name to Vilafamés, the city in the Castellón area where she was born.

In this same location, she began her artistic career; particularly during her adolescent summers, in the academy of the Valencian painter Juan Daniel Dominguez Progreso.

Two decades later, in 1987, this painter from Vilafamés moves to the Levantine capital in order to start her own studio. Around this time she began her relationship with Subex, which continues strong to this day.

The Valencian artist shows a special predilection for the Mediterranean still life, which she paints with simpler, fresher and more luminous motives than those found in the classic still life.
